How can I make my computer stop tracking my location?

May 31, 2014 at 10:36PM: Hello, I’m pretty worried because my location was accessed on my computer. Just now, about 5 minutes ago, I got a flash in the system tray or w/e its called (bottom right of screen) and it said “Your location has recently been accessed.” Then when you click on it, it says “View location activity in Event Viewer” so once you click on it and get to the screen, I was shocked because I realized I had been tracked everyday since May 12 by the ‘FriendlyName’ of “BlueStac” not BlueStack, BlueStac, so I’m not sure if it is something that is trying to make me think it is BlueStack, but whatever it is; BlueStack or not, I wan’t it to stop tracking me! Why does my WiFi stop working after rebooting my laptop?

May 31, 2014 at 12:00AM: Hi friends, I have installed Windows 8 pro in my Lenovo G 500 laptop yesterday. I have installed all the drivers which are provided along with my laptop. After I installed the WiFi driver my WiFi worked and once I have restarted the computer the WiFi connection is lost and it displays as WiFi(off). I have tried uninstalling all the drivers and installing them again. Please tell me the solution with a full description as I am new to Windows 8. Thanks in advance. Is it really necessary to keep Windows 7 updated?

May 30, 2014 at 11:29PM: When we buy a new PC, we automatically get the ‘Security updates’ setting on, but is keeping Windows 7 worth? I have been advised by the computer shop-owner that updates do nothing more than just slowing down your PC. I don’t think that I would get hacked, when I have a paid and genuine Quick Heal subscription. Please tell me that I should keep the PC updated or it is not necessary? What email client will work on both a Windows Vista laptop and a Win8 tablet?

May 30, 2014 at 11:06PM: I want to have a free desktop email that will work on my Windows Vista laptop and my Windows 8 tablet. I read your article about the best desktop clients and 1 that was listed EClient I downloaded it but the free version only allows you to use on one machine and won’t synch. What I want is to be able to have all my webmail & POP3 mail accounts together on a desktop email and either work on my email from either my laptop computer when I am home or my tablet that I carry in my purse. Any suggestions? Plus now that I have the EClient how do I save the emails I need and then get rid of it because the free version can only be used on 1 machine and it is quite costly for the paid version that you can use on multiple machines. Beacon Me

May 30, 2014 at 06:26PM: Beacon Me provides a way for people to create and find events and experiences around them. Users can organize tailgates, setup parties, or schedule meetings. Beacon Me is based on the idea of a user setting up a Beacon at a specified location to invite or share with other people. Users can then join, share and participate all within the walls of Beacon Me. If the Beacon is for the public or friends, they can easily share to other platforms and also receive directions. The goal is to give users a platform simple enough to create spontaneous user to user events, while also powerful enough to share experiences with a large group of people. The possibilities for Beacons are endless. Read full article: FeedMyApp
