It's around this time of year that many of us will start to think of all those packages that are likely to be delivered containing Christmas presents from our loved ones. In the US alone, it's reckoned that the Postal Service will deliver over 450 million different packages over the holiday season with deliveries being increased to 7 days a week. It makes you wonder how all those packages get sorted quickly and correctly so that we get the right parcel delivered and at the right time. Maybe they trained their workers by using this snappy little 3D puzzle game for iOS. Sort It is a game that tests your hand-eye co-ordination. As the coloured packages fall into the screen, it's your job to sort them with a swipe of your finger into their relevant chutes on the four corners of the screen. It's an addictive game that is easy to play but hard to master. Sort It is a fast paced and very colorful and detailed puzzle game for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch that will really improve your quickness of thought as well as your reflexes. Your one and only job in this fast finger puzzle game is to sort the different colored packages into their identical corresponding colored chutes - located on the four corners of the screen. As the different colored packages fall onto your screen at different angles, you must use your finger to drag each colored package into the correct colored chute. However, If that was all there was to this game then you'd be able to master it pretty fast, but of course, there are a few other things you need to keep an eye out for. For a start, you'll have to watch out for the bombs that self destruct after 5 seconds and cause all of your packages to be dropped into the wrong colored chutes. If the bomb explodes and one of the colored packages slide into the wrong colored chute, you will lose a life. If you manage to lose all three of your lives, the game will be all over for you! If you let 25 packages stack up, the postmaster will warn you to speed it up and clear the stack of packages within 5 seconds - if you arent quick enough, you will overload and the game will end. On the positive side, if you sort the packages into their correct chutes without missing one, you will gain bonus points for maintaining a sorting streak. The higher the streak the higher your score will be. Finally, you should look out for a mystical rainbow package to randomly fall onto the screen. Quickly tapping it will turn on the frenzy mode, which will let you sort any colored package into its corresponding chute - including those that are threatening bombs. I guess if you had to nail Sort It down to a specific game genre, it's kind of similar to the massively popular Tetris. What's more, the game also proves to be as addictive and just as colorful as both Tetris and Candy Crush Saga. The basic game is free but there are a couple of in-app purchases for upgrades where you can increase your playing time or use the 'sweep' upgrade to get a big advantage and score maximum points. The thing that determines the top players in Sort It, however, is the quickness of your fingers. That's what will make you a winner. I don't know if Sort It will become as big as Tetris or Candy Crush but it's a fun, colorful and very addictive addition to the free puzzle game genre. Now excuse me while I do a bit of swiping.
