Drawing from its award-winning research in cognitive skills augmentation, Compétences/Skills R&D Inc. has developed the Neuro-Ludus brain training game by dovetailing important discoveries in neuroplasticity, gaming and mobile technology. Neuro-Ludus enables youth and adults to augment their analytical/information processing skills to learn more effectively and achieve peak performance. The game consists of 30 levels and a scenario, which captures players’ interest and maintains their engagement: Following an ecological disaster, some primitive bacteria have attacked the human brain and threaten to erode the superiority of the human race over other living organisms. Save the human race! Play Neuro-Ludus and collect neuro-energy to rewire human brains. The objective is to find a simple shape hidden in a complex figure using various game plays. The game has 30 levels ordered according to game play, task complexity and play time. An average playtime of 20 to 45 hours is required in order to fully benefit from the gaming experience, depending on the player’s skill level. The players collect “neuroenergy” for each level successfully completed. The strength of the neuroenergy depends on the amount of time taken by the player to complete each level. The neuroenergy is applied for rewiring 1, 2 or 3 human brains depending upon its srength.
