How to disable browser “auto jump-tab”?

January 31, 2014 at 01:24AM: Using Chrome browser (also Maxthon browser) there is a “feature” that is most annoying – when you are reading a story under an open tab, after a time it auto-flips to open the adjoining tab, blocking you out of the first one mid-sentence, with no action on your part. I suspect it may be some Java-something, but can find no references to disable it in Preferences or otherwise. The icon symbol that pops up as it activates looks like two tabbed file folders with an arcing arrow above that points right. Any ideas on how to remove/disable/kill it? I just want to finish the tabbed story I was on! I am on an iMac [Nov.2012] and Mavericks OS. Post and answer: How to disable browser “auto jump-tab”? Read Question - Answers: MakeUseOf Answers

Can I flash jelly bean ROM with clockwork mod on gingerbread?

January 30, 2014 at 07:20PM: Hello , I have a Samsung Galaxy S 4G (SGH – T959V) and I want to flash a custom ROM of Jelly Bean 4.3 onto it. I updated from Froyo to BML Gingerbread. I also installed a custom kernel called Antonxs Basic with a twist off. This kernel came with CWM (Clockworkmod) 5.0.28 . Can I install the Jelly bean ROM directly or should I go to an Ice Cream Sandwich ROM and then this ROM? I cannot use the computer for this because my charging port is damaged (The one of the cellphone). And with this version of CWM, could I install a Kit Kat ROM directly? Thanks in Advanced. How do I increase the data transfer speed of my pendrive in Windows 7?

January 30, 2014 at 12:51AM: I have recently bought a 32GB Sandisk Cruzer Blade pendrive and as FAT32 file system limits file size to 4.5GB, I’ve formatted it to NTFS as I normally use the Windows environment and as to carry large file chunks more than 4.5GB per file at a time. I’ve used the default allocation size, as I technically don’t know what this means. And also have tried with 16KB of allocation size. There was no change. Obviously I have got USB 2.0 ports and so I’m not expecting huge speed. While trying to copy a 5.6GB of file to my pendrive, the transfer starts at a speed of about 88MBps and gradually it gets down to the lowest of 1-2Mbps. After visiting some sites, I applied some tweaks: Right clicked on the drive, select property, clicked on hardware, selected my drive, clicked on property, clicked on policy tab, and then checked the ‘Better performance’ option. Well it did some improvement as earlier, during the remaining 3-4MB of the copy, the process was getting stopped...
