Google and Carbon Dioxide

Here is a reason for environment physicists to worry about. According to a Logo_60wht Harvard University academic, Google, the Internet Search Engine is producing 7g Carbon Dioxide for a typical search on a desktop. And for every second we stay connected to the internet, we produce 0.02g of carbon emissions!



Two search requests on the Internet website Google produce as much carbon dioxide as boiling a kettle, according to a Harvard University academic.

Well, Google has taken this impact seriously and had designed and built "the most energy efficient data centres in the world".

But, that’s not going to stop me from Googling… how about you?
