How do I improve graphics performance on an HP G61 laptop?

I have a HP G61 laptop running Windows 7. I think my graphics card is failing.


Every time I watch a movie or have too many tabs open in my browser, my laptop freeze and then I have to reboot. I’m well aware that I cannot replace my graphics card.


Is there something I can do to improve my graphics and stop the freezing?
