How can I print from Virtualbox to a host-attached printer?

I help my mom print coupons. I learned that I can use Virtualbox to print multiple coupons, however, I would like to transfer the print jobs from Virtualbox to the printer on the host computer. Is there anyway I would be able to do that? I read you can use ports to be able to do that, but would it be the same setup using Virtualbox?
