How can I recover data from a reformatted drive partition?

April 02, 2014 at 01:22PM:

I have Windows 7 on my PC partitioned with C & D drives (with some data in D drive). I was installing Ubuntu OS along with Windows 7. While installing Ubuntu I have chosen SOMETHING ELSE option. So the path took me to the partition window. There I have selected EXT2 file system and /(slash) option and Installed. Now the problem is the data which was in D drive (which was in Windows OS) has been deleted. Can anyone suggest me how to get back the deleted data. Thanks in advance.
