Oldschool Blast

September 26, 2014 at 02:38PM:

"Oldschool Blast" is pure retro-style with a similar gameplay as the classic version of Space Invaders but improved with power-ups and upgrades. In "Oldschool Blast" you have to destroy the hordes of advancing aliens by shooting everything that moves. An old-school shmup (i.e. shoot’em up) game that gives you a better feeling playing on a phone/tablet than you’d have by trying an emulator. Just as the classic version, alien ships drop bullets and destroy you, from time to time an UFO "drops by" to drop some bombs right on you and finally there’s also kamikaze ships that sacrifice while trying to destroy you. Here are the features that you will enjoy in "Oldschool Blast": - Several types of alien waves that try to destroy you, from the classic invaders type to galaxian and finally bosses - Easy controls, with one thumb you move while with the other you shoot plus you can choose the type of virtual joystick, either dynamic or fixed position - Get power-ups that drop when destroying aliens and collect the gems to improve your score - Start with 3 lives and continue playing even after you die (only in the unlocked version) The game is available for free on Google Play ( http://ift.tt/1rLE5LK ) and you can see it in action on Youtube ( http://ift.tt/1tjw7Gm ).
